Tanning Guide

Sunbeds are designed to offer a safe and controlled tanning environment than natural sunlight but, as with exposure to natural sunlight ,UV may pose a risk to certain people. Anyone on the following precautionary list should not be allowed to use a sunbed or should seek medical advice before use.

Anyone under 16 years of age (18 in Scotland).

Anyone with a medical condition that becomes worse in sunlight.

Anyone taking medicines or drugs which increase sensitivity to UV rays.

Anyone with fair skin ,sensitive skin and doesn't tan in sunlight.

Anyone who has had skin cancer or where a family member has.

If in doubt please consult a doctor

If signs of redness remain from a previous session or from sunbathing seek medical advice.

Do not consume alcohol.

Make sure you understand the instructions on the length of each tanning session for your skin type.

Make sure you know how to switch the sunbed off.

Remove all cosmetics from your face and body.

Always wear the protective goggles.

Please remove contact lenses and don't put back on the eye for an hour.

Don't use outdoor sun creams, lotions.

Hydrate your skin hydrated skin keeps a tan longer.

Don't allow anyone else in the room while the sunbed is on.

Don't sunbathe on the same day you use the sunbed or vice-versa.

If at any time you notice lumps, sores or unusual moles on your skin ,consult your doctor.
